3 Year Old McDonalds Burger

Atkins Diet Can Cause Risk To Health

People who strictly follow the Atkins diet could be risking their lives, doctors reported yesterday. They treated a 40-year-old woman who developed a condition called ketoacidosis after she lived on a diet of meat, cheese and salad. Doctors said the no-carbohydrates Atkins diet was to blame. Prof Klaus-Dieter Lessnau, writing in the Lancet, noted: "This problem may become more recognised because this diet is becoming increasingly popular worldwide."
