Beware Of Fake Botox
The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) is warning against seeking cosmetic treatments such as Botox from non-physicians. This follows several deaths caused by the injections of a fake botox. Things to look out for include:
- Do make sure a board-certified physician is on site and immediately available.
- Do check the credentials of the person who will perform the procedure.
- Don't ever go to someone's home or a hotel room to have a cosmetic procedure performed.
- Don't rely on price as the determining factor.
- Don't be afraid to ask questions.
- Don't be afraid to walk away.
